Ack ~ Bill the cat

I am a husband, father, brother, actor, improv comic, published author and I do industrial training.

I have spent 13 years in the military; active duty Army and reserve components. I spent 16 years in manufacturing doing everything from pushing a broom to being a lead ISO auditor for a billion dollar corporation. My various hats in manufacturing include corporate trainer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing Coordinator and Procedures Writer.

Why do I blog? This is a recent question that was raised. Interesting to think about. I like to write. It inspires me to think that people may be interested in what I have to say. This keeps my interest up, and it also helps me to document my journey.

I started blogging about 12 years ago. My first blog, Chronological Disorder was hosted on GeoCities and most people had never even heard of a blog. It was about the ‘adventures’ of being a single father and searching for a new wife. Deb started reading  it when we were dating and it gave her some insight to my strange thought process. I still have all those entries in hard copy and may eventually repost them somewhere.

My current blog basically documents my ongoing internet activities and my pursuit of a career on stage and sccreen. I do local theater and improv, which is my passion. .

I am also in the (long) process of writing a fantasy novel, OneTree Down, and a musical for the stage, The Fearful Daggers. Some of my other writing, including my screenplay, Blaze Motors, is available to view by clicking the “writing” tab and clicking in obvious places..

I am also available and very willing to write for you. (Wouldn’t that be a thrill for you?  just kidding. The honor would be mine.) Like I said I really enjoy writing and learning new things, and doing the associated research. If you have an idea for a series of posts or just a single one; talk to me. If you want an e-book or a “real book” written I can do that, too, and I have done those for a few very satisfied customers.

I may be a funny guy, but I take my work very seriously. My work is primarily writing for my clients and I make a real effort to wow them every time by over-delivering ahead of schedule. Check out my writing site.

Interesting bio! I actually used to write for a site that covered the manufacturing industry!

Hi, Rob,

Came to your site after your comment on my father’s guest post on my blog. Yellow puddle, indeed.

Not sure if you are aware, but I was one of the early Get Inspired! interviews.

Where are you located? From the whole improve, making movies thing, I would have thought LA, but the Berks County tv appearance, it seems like Reading, PA?

Hi Geoff, yes, I listened to your interview (I listen to all of them) and am from Reading, Pa. I would like to be elsewhere and Deb and I are trying to figure out timing to move to Myrtle Beach. That seems as good a place as any to commute to LA for shoots (perhaps someday)
thanks for the comment

Hi Rob;
I just viewed your Low Glycemic Youtube video from back in 2007 and am just getting started myself. I’m wondering if you are still eating low glycemic and if you have any advice on where to go for a good chart for GI/GL. Thanks.

Hi Andy, This chart is pretty good. http://www.centerforhealthandharmony.com/GiveAways/Glycemic%20Index%20Chart.pdf
I mostly eat low glycemicly (if that’s even a word) Occasionally I will have an off day where I throw caution to the wind (parties, weddings, ext) but then right back to it. I think it’s the most effective way to eat healthy and keep weight/body fat steady and also, of course keep blood sugar levels constant. Thanks for the comment.
